An all-new animated adaptation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is en route and bound for the big screen, per Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg and James Weaver, in conjunction with Nickelodeon Animation and Point Grey Pictures.

The CGI project will be directed by Jeff Rowe and feature a script from Brendan O’Brian. It will be based on the fan-favorite graphic novel created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, in which centers on a four-member team of anthropomorphic, mutated turtles, all of which are named after famous artists, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo. The team lives in the sewers and is led by an oversized sewer rat, named Splinter, who teaches them martial arts.

The team of Rogen, Goldberg and Weaver have been busy in bringing to the screens, both big and small, the projects which indie fans have been clamoring for, including the recently-ended Preacher and Future Man, the upcoming Invincible and the forthcoming second season of, The Boys.
