Actor Steven Yeun has landed a first-look television deal with Amazon, a deal that includes creating original content for its streaming platform.

The news comes on the heels of already having landed the lead role as Mark Grayson in the animated adaptation of the Image Comics original graphic novel, Invincible, which will serve as a Prime Video exclusive series.

“I feel very fortunate and privileged in these times to be given an opportunity to tell more stories,” said Yeun. “I am humbled to be in such good company with the incredible talent at Amazon and I am very much looking forward to collaborating with unique voices to tell stories that connect us.”

Yeun, who garnered breakout status as the fan-favorite character, Glenn Rhee, on The Walking Dead, has since appeared in films like, Mayhem, a Shudder exclusive, a Netflix original, Okja, both in 2017, as well as Sorry to Bother You (2018). He will take center stage in Minari in 2020, a film about a Korean family which relocates to Arkansas to start a farm in the 1980s, as well as The Humans, a Thanksgiving-gone-bad film about ‘things that go bump in the night’.

The South Korea native has also lent his voice to numerous other animated projects since his TWD run, including: Final Space, Voltron: Legendary Defender and Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia.
